Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized
hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
a.  First Bay, South of the shop - On or about September 26, 1997,
employees are required to
work under a fully extended hydraulic front end alignment rack without
permanent safety
latches, thereby subjecting employees to the possibility of being struck
by a vehicle or caught
between a vehicle and the floor if the hydraulics failed.
A feasible means of correcting the hazard is to install the safety latches
so as to conform to the
specifications, referenced in ANSI "B153.1 Section 3.1.10/1974."
