29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided on the tensioning rollers of the Stork machine so as to protect employees from the hazard(s) created by the point of operation: Or In The Alternative: Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing, tearing and friction trauma injuries from improperly guarded tensioning rollers. Stork machine room: An employee suffered multiple injuries to the arm and shoulder when caught and drawn into the unguarded Stork machine tensioning rollers. ABATEMENT NOTE: ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO PROVIDE INTERLOCKING BARRIER GATES.R
