Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: inadequately braced roof trusses. (a) Roof trusses being installed at 11121 West North Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. on April 4, 1997, were not properly braced in accordance with recognized industry Truss Plate Institute practices, in that, lateral bracing was inadequate and diagonal bracing was omitted subjecting employees to a potential truss collapse condition.
