Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At "Hospital M. Pavia Fernandez, Inc." kitchen area, maintenance or
housekeeping
employees frecuently were cleaned sewage water accumulated by the
overflows of clug
plumbing, whithout rubber boots that gave protection to the foot from
contact with
sewage water.
Hazard:  Contact with sewage water.
Among other methods, some feasible and acceptable methods to correct this
hazard are
to repair total and pemanently the clogged plumb, and provide rubber boots
to the
employees whom cleans the overflows of sewage water.
En el Hospital M. Pavia Fernandez, Inc. area de cocina, empleados de
mantenimiento
(o housekeeping), limpiaron frecuentemente aguas usadas acumuladas por el
desbordamiento de tuberias tapadas, sin tener botas de goma que dieran
proteccion al pie
del contacto con las aguas usadas.
Riesgo:  Contacto con aguas usadas.
Entre otros metodos, varios metodos factibles y aceptables para corregir
este riesgo estan el
reparar total y permanentemente los tubos tapados, y el proveer botas de
goma a los empleados
que limpian las areas inundadas por aguas usadas.as
