Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the building #2059 of the Italia St., located in Ocean Park, Santurce:
Employees were
observed painting in a swinging scaffold at the fifth floor of the
building at more than
15 feet of height. An employees was standing in a wood girder, painting
the railing of
one of the apartment. The employee was without a personal fall arrest
systems
as the
1926.501(b)(1) of the CFR stipule for unprotected sides and edges.
Hazard: Fall
Among other methods to correct this hazard is provide body harness to the
employees
and supervise that they use them as a safe manner and continuity.
En el edificio #2059 de la calle Italia, localizada en Ocean Park,
Santurce: Empleados
fueron observados pintando en un andamio suspendido en el quinto piso del
edificio a
mas de 15 pies de altura. Un empleado estaba parado en un cuarton de
madera pintando
las barandas de uno de los apartamentos. El empleado estaba sin un sistema
de detencion
contra caida como estipula el CFR 1926.501(b)(1) para lados y bordes sin
proteccion.

Entre otros metodos para corregir este riesgo es proveer arnes a los
empleados
y
supervisar que los usen de una manera segura y continua.r
