Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: Employees of the Casinos that worked in the machines area and account room area, like Collectors - working with full loaded buckets containing coins of five (5) cents, twenty- five (25) cents and tockets from one ($1.00) dollar, with approximately weigth between 30 to 150 pounds, were being lifted by employees. The coins buckets were being poured then into the counting machines, this working without the lifting loads training, for such to able to minimize the back injuries.. Hazards: Body and back injuries due lifting of heavy loads. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is; a) gave the lifting loads training. b) assemble with all the Collectors, to give back the exposition of the method to work with the full loaded coins buckets. c) assignat three (3) employees to move the security cars with the bills cases. Empleados de los Casinos que trabajaban en el area de las maquinas y cuarto de conteo, como Recaudadores - trabajando con cubos llenos conteniendo monedas de cinco (5) centavos, veinte y cinco (25) centavos y tokes de a dolar ($1.00), con un peso de aproximadamente entre 30 a 150 libras, donde eran levantados por los empleados. Los cubos con las monedas eran vertidos en maquinas contadoras, donde estos estaban trabajando sin el adiestramiento de levantamiento de carga, para asi poder minimizar las lesiones en sus espaldas. Riesgo: Lesiones en el cuerpo y la espalda debido al levantamiento de carga pesada. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es; a) ofrecerle el adiestramiento de levantamiento de carga. b) reunirse con todos los Recaudadores, para volver a explicarle el metodo de trabajar con los cubos llenos de monedas. c) asignar tres (3) empleados para mover el carro de seguridad de las cajitas de billetes.
