Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Central Parking System located at the basement of Home Mortgage
Plaza
building, there was a sewage water pipe in the ceiling of the parking that
filtrate the
water. The employees walked over the sewage water during their working
shift, soaking
their shoes and socks.
Hazard: Contact with sewage water.
Among other correction methods, some feasible and acceptable methods to
correct this
hazard are repair the pipes.
The Presidential Property Services HNC Home Mortgage Plaza was previously
cited for
a violation of this occupational safety and health section of the act
which was contained
in OSHO inspection number 300142213, citation number 1, item number 1,
section 6 (a)
of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act, issued on 2/26/99,
with respect
to a workplace located at Home Mortgage Plaza building.
En el Central Parking System localizado en el sotano del edificio Home
Mortgage Plaza,
habia un tubo de aguas usadas en el techo del estacionamiento que filtra
el agua. Los
empleados caminaban sobre el agua usada durante su turno de trabajo
mojando sus
zapatos y medias.
Riesgo: Contacto con aguas usadas.
Entre otros medios de correccion, varios metodos factibles y aceptables
para corregir este
riesgo es reparar la tuberia.
Presidential Property Services HNC Home Mortgage Plaza ha sido citado por
violacion
a esta seccion de la ley de seguridad y salud ocupacional, la cual esta
contenida en el
caso numero 300142213, numero de citacion 1, numero de renglon 1, seccion
6 (a) de
la Ley de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional de Puerto Rico, emitida el
2/26/99, con
respecto al lugar de trabajo Edificio Home Mortgage Plaza.
