Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized
hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the seven floor, employees performed office duties where rainwater
filtered by the
windows and walls that wet the floor near their desks.
Hazard: Slips and falls.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to
correct this
hazard is:
a) to seal the gaskets of the walls.
b) to change and to seal the gaskets of the windows.
En el piso siete, empleados realizaban tareas de oficina donde se filtraba
agua de lluvia
por las ventanas y paredes que mojaban el piso cerca de sus escritorios.
Riesgo: Resbalones y caidas.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este
riesgo es:
a) sellar las juntas de las paredes.
b) cambiar y sellar las juntas de las ventanas.
