Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At Sears Roebuck of Bayamon (unit 8132), while the employees perform
mechanic tasks,
it was observed an air pipe line of 1" diameter that comes from the
ceiling and was
located at the center of the repair room of the service area at a height
of 59" from the
floor.
Hazard: Stumblings
Among other correction method, a feasible and acceptable method to correct
this hazard
is to relocate the pipe line at a place that no offer any risk to
employees.
En Sears Roebuck de Bayamon (unidad 8132), mientras los empleados llevaban
a cabo
tareas de mecanica, se observo una linea de suplido de aire de 1" de
diametro la cual
provenia del techo y estaba localizada en el centro del cuarto de
reparaciones del area
de servicio a una altura de 59" del suelo.
Riesgo: Tropezones.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir este
problema es relocalizar la linea de aire y colocarla en un lugar donde no
ofrezca riesgo
a los empleados.
