Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: working/walking platforms which did not have adequate support. (a) The worksite known as Palm Harbor Homes Inc. located at 1508 Redding Drive, LaGrange, GA 30240, uses mobile work/walking platforms (12 feet high) which were not provided with adequate under bracing to support the intended load. This hazard exposes employees walking on the platform to a serious hazard from falling.
