did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized
hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in
that employees
were exposed to motor vehicles with safety defects:
(a)Establishment area:   Company haul truck #14 used to transport silage
from
harvesting points in the field and over the road to storage areas was not
equipped with required seatbelts for all occupants.
(b)Establishment area:   Company haul truck #203 used to transport silage
from
harvesting points in the field and over the road to storage areas had a
broken
front windshield and the driver did not use the seatbelt that was
provided.
(c)Establishment area:   Company haul truck #188 used to transport silage
from
harvesting points in the field and over the road to storage areas had
broken
front windshield, was not equipped with brakes on the right front wheel and
the driver did not use the seatbelt that was provided.
(d)Establishment area:   Company fuel truck #69 used to transport diesel
fuel to
harvesting equipment in the field and over the road  was not equipped with
a
right front head light and required seatbelts for all occupants.
One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct
these hazards is to
develop comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure vehicles
are inspected
and repaired daily prior to being utilized.
