The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to
employees.
Employee(s) were exposed to the hazards of being thrown from equipment
such
as Hyster lift
trucks numbers 9 and 11, in that they were not wearing seat belts that
were provided by the
manufacturer of the equipment.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to require
operator(s) of powered industrial trucks, (lift trucks), to use safety
belts provided by the
manufacturer.
