Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the point of operation of the press brake: (a) Shop area: Accupress press brake, Model number 7608, used to bend and shape metal, the point of operation was not guarded and a foot pedal was used to initiate the stroke. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to: Require the use of the installed two hand controls as described in ANSI B11.3 - 1982, Safety Requirements for Construction, Care, and Use of Power Press Brakes.ction,
