31-372-101 Section 31-370(a) of the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Location: (A)Norwich City Hall 100 Broadway (1)A system to protect employee's from fall hazards while on the roof of City Hall, was not provided by the employer. Feasible methods of abatement for this hazard: (1)Provide a standard guard rail system to protect employee's from fall hazards when on the roof of City Hall. (2)Install a mechanically driven system to raise and lower the flag from the attic of City Hall, therefore eliminating employee exposure to fall hazards from the roof of City Hall. (3)Relocate the flag the flag post from the roof of City Hall to an area where employee's are not subject to fall hazards.
