Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The

employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to moving passenger cars on amusement park rides:
Revere Beach, MA, Fiesta Shows, Skymaster Ride:
Employees were exposed to moving passenger carriages on the Skymaster Ride
which
were likely to cause serious physical harm or death to employees.  Among
other
methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard
include issuing
and enforcing an order that no employee may enter the fenced area
surrounding the
Skymaster Ride while the ride is moving.  An additional abatement method
would be for
the employer to initiate a training program designed to instruct employees
about the
dangers encountered working in close proximity to moving equipment.
