88.4:  The employer did not furnish to each of the employer's employees
employment, and a
place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to
cause death, or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to a fire or
explosion hazard:
(a)In the Spray Finishing Room - Employees used an airless Graco spraying
rig to
apply combustible coatings. A fire or explosion hazard existed without an
automatic fire extinguishing system to protect the spraying area. An
acceptable
means of abatement would be to install an automatic fire extinguishing
system
that complies with the requirements of National Fire Protection
Association 33,
Chapter 7, Standard for Spray Application Using Flammable or Combustible
Materials. This deficiency was noted on or about 10-28-98.y
