Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive serious injuries or death from falls. Two employees worked at the northeast area on a steel building 300 feet wide, 320 feet long being constructed. They walk over steel beams eight inches wide at 22 feet feet in height from the methods floor level without fall protection. Among other methods to correct this hazard is to install anchorages and lifelines to attach the safety belt. Hazard: Falls. a. Recibir lesiones serias o muerte causadas por caidas, dos empleados trabajabn en el area noreste de un edificio que era construido; caminaban sobre vigas de 8 pulgadas de ancho a 22 pies de altura sobre el nivel del piso sin proteccion contra caidas. Entre otros metodos para corregir este riesgo es instalar anclajes y lineas de salvavidas para conectar los cinturones de seguridad. Riesgo: Caidas.
