Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to burns when employees are in contact with hot parts (125-150 F ) in metal tube and metal pot at 1-4 feet from the floor level.The employee stands or pass by these hot parts to check out the production process. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to insulate the hot parts. a. Recibir lesiones debido a quemaduras por contacto con partes calientes (125-150 F) en un tubo de metal y olla de metal a 1-4 pies del nivel del piso. El empleado se para o pasa por aqui para revisar el proceso de produccion. Entre otros metodos correctivos, uno seguro y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es aislar las partes calientes.
