Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  Receive injuries due to burns when employees are in contact with hot
parts (200  F)
in a metal tube, 1 inch diameter and 4 feet long aproximatety at 8 inches
from the floor
level.  The employees pass near these hot parts frecuently.  Among other
methods, one
feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to
insulate
the hot
parts.
a.  Recibir lesiones debido a quemaduras cuando los empleados estan en
contacto con
partes calientes (200  F) en un tubo de metal de 1 pulgada de diametro y 4
pies de largo
aproximadamente a una altura de 8 pulgadas del nivel del piso.  Los
empleados pasan
con frecuencia proximo a este lugar.  Entre otros metodos correctivos, uno
seguro y
aceptable para corregir este riesgo es aislar las partes calientes.
