Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to fall from a portable metal ladder (2-24 feet) while doing works of alarm system instalation. The employee was exposed to fall when he use both hands to do his work without any protection from fall. Among other method, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is to use a personal fall arrest system. a. Recibir lesiones debido a caidas desde una escalera de metal portatil (12-24 pies) mientras realizaba trabajo de instalar alarmas. El empleado fue expuesto a caidas cuando tenia que usar ambas manos para realizar su trabajo sin ningun tipo de proteccion de caidas. De entre otros metodos, uno seguro y eficaz para corregir este riesgo es utilizar un sistema personal de detencion de caidas.
