Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive serious injuries due to delay in acces to exit. Three employees were working in building office (12 feet 5 inch X 15 feet- 187.5 sq.feet) at basement floor, for social assistance. According to N.F.P.A. 1985: sec.27-1.7.1 the minimum occupancy requirement shall be not less than one person per 100 sq. feet, causing stacking problem. Amoung other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is relocation excess employees. a. Recibir serias lesiones debido a demora hacia salidas. Tres empleados trabajan en una oficina para dar servicio social (12 pies 5 pulgadas X 15 pies - 187.5 pies cuadrado) en el piso del sotano. De acuerdo con N.F.P.A. 1985 Sec. 27-1.7.1 requisito minimo deocupacion debe ser no mas de una persona por cada 100 pies cuadrado, causando un problema de hacinamiento. Entre otros metodos, uno aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es la relocalizacion del exceso de personal.
