General-duty citation text
T.C.A. 50-3-105(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Examples of such were where employees have been exposed to TB and: a)An early identification protocol for TB was not instituted, b)Annual TB skin-tests were not provided prior to employee exposure, and c)Employees were not trained or provided information on TB transmission. A feasible means of abatement would include developing a TB-infection Control Plan. An example program was provided you. You must train employees on early detection protocols, provide TB skin tests annually and keep records of those tests. You must train employees on how TB is transmitted from person to person.
