Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Plant elevator, dock level and the second floor: employees utilized the plant elevator to move product and material to and from the second floor. The landing and the second floor landing did not have complete enclosures, exposing employees to the hazard of being caught between the moving elevator car and a stationary component of the entrance. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install complete enclosures at the elevator entrances that meet local city codes and the American National Standard Institute Standard A17.1, Rule 110.0, American Standard Safety Code for Elevators, Dumbwaiters, and Escalators.,

The elevator car was not completely enclosed, exposing employees to the hazard of being caught between the moving elevator car and a stationary object. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install complete enclosure on the elevator car sides that meets local city codes and the American National Standard Institute Standard A17.1, Rule 204.1,American Standard Safety Code for Elevators, Dumbwaiters, and Escalators.,
