Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by a steel turnover bar. One feasible method to correct this hazard is to insure that turnover bars are spring loaded which does not allow it to be inadvertently left in the flywheel. A) LOCATION: BACK ROOM TURNOVER BARS USED DURING SETUP OPERATIONS WERE NOT OF THE SPRING LOADED TYPE WHICH WOULD PROHIBIT THEM FROM BEING INADVERTENTLY LEFT IN THE FLYWHEEL AT THE TIME THE MACHINES ARE STARTED UP.RTED
