Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a rough terrain forklift truck "Lull" that was being driven by an operator that had not been trained in accordance with the provisions of Ansi B56.6, 1987, Paras 5.16 and 5.17 and which tipped over exposing the driver to being caught between the frame of the truck and the ground and/or other material. Among other methods, two feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard are as follows: 1. Training and/or retraining of the driver of the "Lull" in accordance with the provisions of ANSI B56.6, 1987, Paragraphs 5.16 and 5.17 before allowing the driver to resume driving the "Lull". 2. Prevention of the particular driver from driving the "Lull". 1475 ROOSEVELT AVE., SPRINGFIELD, MA: AN EMPLOYEE WAS OPERATING A ROUGH TERRAIN FORKLIFT TRUCK "LULL" SER 6608, MODEL 644 WHEN THE "LULL" TIPPED OVER.
