Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falls from a pallet elevated by a fork lift: (a) Location - Warehouse: On or about 08/09/00, employees were raised by a fork lift while standing on a pallet in order to change light bulbs. Among other means, feasible means of abatement would be to: 1) Purchase a platform for elevating employees which is approved by the manufacturer of the fork lift equipment.
