Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to:
a) For coating Ferrous Sulphate in process room No. 125, an employee was
exposed to
119mg/m3 of corrosive and toxic iron salts (soluble as Fe or Ferrous
Sulphate) in excess
of 1mg/m3, 8-hour time weighted average limit or 119 times the threshold
limit value
(TLV) when sampled for 477 minutes on September 15, 1999.  Unsampled
period taken
as zero exposure.  The TLV is recognized as a National Occupational Health
Standard,
b) For coating Ferrous Sulphate in process room No. 125 and also working
in 150 room,
an employee was exposed to 5.96mg/m3 of corrosive and toxic iron salts
(soluble as Fe
or Ferrous Sulphate) in excess of mg/m3, 8-hour time weighted average
limit or 5.96
times the TLV when sampled for 110 minutes on September 15, 1999.
Unsampled
period taken as zero,
c) For coating Ferrous Sulphate in process room No. 125 an employee was
exposed to
98mg/m3 of corrosive and toxic iron salts (soluble as Fe or Ferrous
Sulphate) in excess
of 1mg/m3, 8-hour time weighted average limit or 98 times the TLV when
sampled for
482 minutes on September 16, 1999,
d) For coating Ferrous Sulphate in process room No. 125, an employee was
exposed to
80mg/m3 of corrosive and toxic iron salts (soluble as Fe or Ferrous
Sulphate) in excess
of 1mg/m3, 8-hour time weighted average limit or 80 times the TLV when
sampled for
480 minutes on September 16, 1999.

screens or sieves.
