Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Employees were exposed to the hazards of falls while working in an extendible boom aerial lift at the Borders Bookstore jobsite. A feasible means of abatement would be to provide and ensure the use of appropriate fall protection in accordance with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.5- 1992 Standard for Boom-supported Elevating Work Platforms. 13 feet above grade - Employees working from an aerial lift at the Borders jobsite were exposed to fall hazards. No personal fall arrest was used. NO DOCUMENTATION OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
