Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious harm to employees. An employee was exposed to the hazards of falls while climbing the guardrails of the scissor lift at the West Aurora High School jobsite. A feasible means of abatement would be to provide training of safe work practices in accordance with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.6-1979 Standard for Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms. 15 feet above grade - An employee was exposed to fall hazards while climbing the guardrails of a scissor lift to access the roof at the West Aurora High School jobsite. NO DOCUMENTATION OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREDATION
