Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish
a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were
likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees. Employees were in self propelled
extensible boom aerial
lift without any fall arrest.
Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American
National Standards
Institute, ANSI A92.5-1992 Standard for Boom-supported Elevating Work
Platforms and,
1.  Have the employees wear fall arrests anytime that they are in the
aerial lift.
An employee conducting steel erection work, from an aerial lift, at the
West Diehl Road
jobsite was exposed to fall hazards.  No fall protection was used.
NO CERTIFICATION REQUIREDATION
