P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of piping system collapse: a)Auto Braze Line - The vertical runs of the natural gas and the compressed air piping systems were not installed with supports, on or about 7/22/97. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to carry piping systems on properly installed and placed adjustable hangers or properly leveled rigid hangers or supports and springs, sway bracing, and vibration dampeners in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers USA Standard Code for Pressure Piping B31.1.0- 1967 Section 101.6.

P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of being thrown from the seat of a counter-balanced sitdown type industrial truck: a)Motor Storage Area - The seat belts were missing on the Clark type E forklift truck serial number E357-0135-7845FB, on or about 7/22/97. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to maintain the equipment with seat belts and require the operator to use them.
