traffic signs
warning of the simultaneous use of the roadway pavement by employees as
pedestrians where
the Grinnell Corporation 1986 red Ford 8000 dump truck was used in reverse
gear and the 1988
white Ford L8000 dump truck was also used, on or about 11/12/97.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to display traffic signs warning drivers to watch for workers and warning
that pedestrians may
also be using the roadway; that the speed limit is only five miles an
hour; that it is a high noise
area; and a back-up alarm or signal person must be used while backing
trucks along the
roadway.

to equip each dump truck with an audio back-up warning system.
