P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling due to the collapsing wood roof truss system: a) 201 10th Street SE, Moultrie, Ga. - Roof trusses were not adequately braced to prevent the trusses from collapsing, on or about 12/03/97. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install and secure the trusses in accordance with the recommendations of the Truss Plate Institute contained in HIB-91, truss manufacturer recommendations, or as determined by a registered professional engineer.

P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by falling trusses and other construction materials: a) 201 10th Street SE, Moultrie, Ga. - The employer placed bundles of plywood over roof trusses that had not been properly braced and/or secured, on or before 12/03/97. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is not to place bundle of plywood, roofing or other building materials on trusses before the trusses are properly braced.y
