P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of falling from an elevated platform: a) At 515 East Ward St, Douglas, Ga. - Employees were using an elevated work platform for access to roof, approximately 22 feet above ground, which did not have guardrails all sides, on or about 3/31/99. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is: Provide a platform with guardrails completely installed. For additional assistance please refer to ASME B56.1-1988 (Revision of ASME/ANSI B56.1- 1983) Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks, Part II, Section 4.17
