P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of
1970: The employer
did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of falling from an elevated
platform:
a)  At 1336 Mercantile, Albany, Ga. - An employee was working from an
elevated work
platform, approximately 6 and 1/2 feet above ground, which did not have
guardrails on all sides
nor an operator sitting in the control position, on or about 5/04/99.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is:
Provide a platform with guardrails completely installed.
