P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of
1970: The employer
did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of:
a) Valdosta Site:  Employees were observed operating two(2) each
industrial forklifts, Yale
#15055 and Caterpillar 50 #P00274, and not wearing the provided seat belts
while equipment
was in motion and exposing operators to struck-by/crushed-by injuries and
potentially fatal
injuries, if thrown from seat due to tip over, on or about 2-23-00.
One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to
insure operators wear
the seat belts provided by the manufacturer.shed-by
