Title 40.1-51.1,(A), Code of Virginia: The employer did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that:  An employee was allowed to
ride on the fender of the 310-C John Deere front-end loader backhoe
while it was traveling from Lynnhaven Parkway to South Lynnhaven
Rd.
One feasible and acceptable method among others to correct this
hazard is to adhere to 1926 601(b)(8): Vehicles used to transport
employees shall have seats adequate for the number of employees to
be carried.
