Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees
in that employees
were exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Explosion and burning hazard; Employees were permitted to work inside of
substation and inspected the pressure level of the interrupter OCB-2292
mark
G.E. No. K-6569413, code number 070-00-05-03 made on 1948 in which will
be replace due the lack of the interrupting capacity and was obsolete
system.
Employer did not replace the interrupter OCB-2292 when in june 1995 the
Division of Study & Planification(AEE) performed study and show that the
OCB-2292 did not have enough interrupted capacity for the requirement of
the
system which must be replace.
Location; Substation of AEE(tecnical section) Road #2 Vega Baja P.R.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is replace the OCB-2292.
Riesgo de explosion y quemadura; Empleados fueron permitidos a trabajar
dentro de una subestacion y inspeccionar el nivel de presion del
interruptor
OCB-2292 marca G.E. No. K-6569413, numero codigo 070-00-05-03
fabricado en el 1948 el cual debio ser reemplazado debido a falta de
capacidad
interruptiva y estar obsoleto el sistema. Patrono no reemplazo interruptor
OCB-2292 cuando en junio de 1995 la Division de Planificacion y Estudios de
A.E.E. realizo estudio y demostro que el OCB-2292 no tiene la capacidad
interruptiva suficiente para los requisitos del sistema el cual debe ser
reemplazado.
Localizacion; Subestacion de AEE(seccion tecnica) Carretera #2 Vega Baja
P.R.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable de correccion para este
riesgo es reemplazar el OCB-2292.r
