Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees
in that employees
were exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a)Stroke by a vehicle - Employees were working in excavation operation for
the
installation of sanitary PVC tubing at the edge of road.  Employer used
plastic
drums to close the right lane.  Employer did not provide a safety system to
protect the employees against stroke by a vehicle.
Location: Road PR-2, km 117.8, Aguadilla.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is closing the right lane with the installation of
concrete
barrier.
a)Golpeados o impactados por un vehiculo - Empleados estaban trabajando en
operacion de excavacion para la instalacion de tuberia sanitaria en PVC en
el
borde de la carretera.  Patrono utilizo drones plasticos para cerrar el
carril
derecho.  Patrono no proveyo sistema de seguridad para proteger a los
empleados contra golpe o impacto de los vehiculos.
Localizacion: Carretera PR-2, km 117.8, Aguadilla.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable de correccion para este
riesgo es el cierre del carril derecho con la instalacion de vallas de
hormigon."n
