Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a)Stroke by a vehicle; Employees were working in excavation operation for the installation of drinking water tubing(16" x 18') at the edge of road. Employer did not provide a safety system to protect the employees against stroke by a vehicle. Location: Road 115, Aguada-Rincon Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is closing the lane with the installation of plastic drums or concrete barrier. a)Golpeados o impactados por un vehiculo; Empleados estaban trabajando en operacion de excavacion para la instalacion de tuberia de agua potable(16" x 18') en el borde de la carretera. Patrono no proveyo sistema de seguridad para proteger a los empleados contra golpe o impacto de los vehiculos. Localizacion: Carretera 115, Aguada-Rincon Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable de correccion para este riesgo es el cierre del carril con la instalacion de drones plasticos o vallas de hormigon."
