Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: fall hazards: a) at Station 10, Final Finish - Employees were observed working without fall protection while on the roof completing duties that were not finished at an earlier station. Among other methods, one method of abatement is to provide a catch platform.

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: overhead hazard: a) in manufacturing - lifting devices used from overhead hoists to move home components had not been load rated. One feasible method of abatement is to perform load rating and maintain proper records of the rating.
