Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that they were
exposed to fire and/or explosion hazards:
a)Warehouse Building, Pelspan Dept. to Shipping Docks Area:  The four
stages
pneumatic type Conveying and Processing System, all the others added
components extending to seven remote shipping bays and connected inside the
Bulk Trailers while employees filled them with Plastic Loosefill
"peanuts", were
not properly electrically interconnected to keep the whole system with the
same
electrical potential so as to prevent the build up of static electricity,
on or about
4/14/97.
One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others to correct this
hazard, could be
found on the Edition of NFPA 77, Recommended Practice on Static
Electricity.
