1.On 10/15/96, an employee was operating the JCB 504B LOADALL Rough
Terrain Forklift when the it became unstable and rolled over.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard
is to instruct each employee that operates the JCB 504B LOADALL Rough
Terrain Forklift
in the following procedures:
a.Ensure that each operator is instructed in the safety instructions found
in the
operator's manual.
b.Ensure that each operator is instructed in the hazards of operating the
forklift
with the bucket in the raised position.
c.Ensure that each operator is instructed to use the seatbelt while
operating the
forklift.
