Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to riveter head: a) Department #9, Riveter 9/28 - The foot treadle was not equipped with a guard to prevent accidental operation. NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to install is to install a guard that protects the foot treadle. THE EMPLOYER WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN ITEM NUMBER 2 OF THE CITATION NUMBER 1 ISSUED ON 06/11/89, INSPECTION NUMBER 301447371, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 7500 STATE ROAD., PHILADELPHIA, PA ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED.TION
