The agency did not furnish to each employee employment which was free from
recognized
hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical
harm:
a)Chiller Plant - On or about 02/21/08, the employer did not fully comply
with ASHRAE
15 requirements in that  each entrance to the machinery room was not
appropriately
marked to prevent unauthorized employees from entering the room.
b)Compressor Room, Building 2, RM G02, On or about 02/21/08, the employer
did not
comply with ASHRAE 15 requirements in that the machinery room did not
contain a
detector system in case of a leak, a mechanical ventilation system vented
to the outdoors,
an audible and visual alarm inside the room and outside each entrance and
doors were
not clearly marked to indicate restriction to authorized personnel only.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to comply
with ANSI/ASHRAE 15-2004 Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems,
specifically
provide
visual and audible alarms inside the machinery room and outside each
entrance, install a
detection system and ventilation system, and post authorized entry signs.
