Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing and drowning hazards: a)1030 Visco Drive, Nashville, TN 37210 - On or about 01/08/09, the hydraulic caterpillar excavator was not secured to the barge exposing employees to drowning and crushing hazards. This hazard was reasonably foreseeable in that it was recognized by employer representatives, the industry and common sense. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to secure the excavator to the barge.tor
