Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: a)DPW Warehouse, Ft. Campbell, KY - On or about 01/14/10, employees were exposed to fall hazards when working from a personnel platform attached to the Skytrak 6042 Lull that was not approved by JLG. b)DPW Warehouse, Ft. Campbell, KY - On or about 01/14/10, employees were exposed to fall hazards when working from a personnel platform attached to the CAT TH350B Lull that was not approved by Caterpillar. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to follow the operators manual for the Skytrak and Caterpillar and use only approved personnel platforms.
