Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At SPR, LTD d/b/a DirecTV, at the call center area:  Where the employees
works
attending the clients by phone, was observed a leak spot in the roof from
which in rainy
days the water falls into a television that is in the area and in the
floor, wetting both.
Hazard:  Slips and falls.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is seal the roof to avoid the leak problems.
En SPR, LTD d/b/a DirecTV, en el area del "call center":  Donde los
empleados
trabajan atendiendo a los clientes por telefono, se observo una mancha de
filtracion en
el techo de la cual en dias lluviosos cae agua en el televisor que esta en
esa area y en el
piso, mojando ambos.
Riesgo:  Resbalones y caidas.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo de correccion apropiado y aceptable para
corregir este
riesgo es sellar el techo para evitar los problemas de filtraciones.
