North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees condition of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)facility, Hollow Core Area - employer failed to provide adequate guard or other measure to protect employee from injury when exposed to hazard of being struck by cable(s) being stressed during process of elongation, where tension was placed at cable ends to lengthen 25 - 27 3/4 inches at 24,000 psi supplied by hydraulic jack.
