40.1-51.1.(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: (a) The Globe air hydraulic lift located in the #4 bay of automotive repair shop was not permanently and legibly marked to show the rated load capacity, model, and serial number. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is to adhere to the requirements set forth in ANSI B153.1-1990 Section 6.2 that states: " The lift shall be permanently marked to show the manufacturer's name, rated load capacity, model, and serial number.",

40.1-51.1.(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: (a) The operating instructions for the six automotive lifts (1- four post drive on alignment lift, 2-asymmetric twin post lifts, 1- Globe air hydraulic lift, 1-Mohawk four post drive on lift, 1-Ben Pearson four post drive on lift) located in the auto repair shop were not posted in a conspicuous location in the lift area. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is to adhere to the requirements set forth in ANSI B153.1-1990 Section 7.2.1 that states: " The owner, user, or employer shall display the operating instructions in a conspicuous place in the lift area."
